The Field

Sydney Model Aero Club's flying field is the only registered flying field close to the Sydney CBD with easy access via Anzac Parade. It's location on the coast at the southern end of Maroubra beach and takes advantage of the clean undisturbed air off the Pacific ocean with the prevailing North Easterly sea breeze. This makes for a cool and pleasant environment, even on hot days. The field is a rectangle with approximately 300 meters sides, making it one of the largest fields available.
